Oncology-focused Omega Hospitals raises Rs.500-Cr from Morgan Stanley fund
Hyderabad-based Omega Hospitals (Hyderabad Institute of Oncology Pvt Ltd) has raised INR 500 crore from Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia. The capital will help the company expand its footprint across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, as well as in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal.Veda Corporate Advisors were the financial advisors to Omega Hospitals and its promoters on the transaction.Led by Dr. Mohan Vamsy, a surgical oncologist, Omega Hospitals is India’s second largest cancer-focused hospital chain with 10+ hospitals and a 1,400+ bed capacity.
