Online grocery retailer Satvacart closes pre-Series A round
Gurugram-based grocery e-tailer Satvacart has closed a pre-Series A round of funding from angel investors including Kuldeep Puri, Shailendra Kumar, Siddhartha Garg, Madhu Sudana Rao Kalagarla and Srinivas Kotta. It will use the funds to create 100 clusters in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Noida in the next 18 months. Founded in 2014 by Deepika and Rahul, Satvacart sells 5,000 products through an inventory-led business model. The company currently operates in Gurugram, with its own digitized dark stores located in the centre of high population density areas.
From the Venture Intelligence Angel Investments Database: Between Jul-15 and Oct-16, Satvacart raised funding from Nimit Panigrahi, SP Vijay, Karan Chellani, Abhijit Avasthi, and Palaash Ventures.
