Online premium kids' products seller Hopscotch raises $20-M led by Amazon
Hit the Mark, Inc., the Mumbai-based parent company of Hopscotch, has raised USD 20 million led by global e-commerce giant Amazon. The round also saw participation from existing investor Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Facebook, as well as other existing investors such as Lionrock, IIFL Seed Venture Fund, RPG Ventures, and Techpro Ventures. Hopscotch aims to use the capital to expand its offerings and serve more customers. Hopscotch, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) store, sells kids' clothes, footwear, and accessories in India, catering to style-conscious parents. The company has partnered with Amazon, Flipkart and several third-party platforms such as Snapdeal. It claims that smaller towns drive close to 80% of its revenue.
