Orbicular Pharma in talks with Warburg, CVC Capital, others to raise funds at $1.5-B valuation
Hyderabad-based Orbicular Pharmaceutical Technologies has attracted interest from private equity firms, including Warburg Pincus and CVC Capital Partners, as it explores a potential stake sale. The transaction is expected to value the firm between USD 1 Billion and USD 1.5 Billion. Jefferies has been mandated as the advisor to the transaction. Existing investor Tata Capital Healthcare Fund may explore a full or partial exit.Founded in 2010 and led by M.S. Mohan and Hiren Patel, Orbicular Pharma specialises in complex formulations such as injectables, ophthalmics, and nasal sprays. The company operates with a team of over 300 scientists and focuses on developing niche generic and specialty pharmaceutical products. It has filed over 90 abbreviated new drug applications and received approvals for over 66 products.For the financial year 2026, Orbicular reported an operating income of INR 525-Cr, up from INR 265.2-Cr in the previous year, while its net profit rose to INR 53.3-Cr from INR 28.7-Cr in FY25.
