Orenda Group launches Rs.100-Cr media growth fund

Orenda Group has partnered with actor-producer Manasi Parekh, singer-producer Parthiv Gohil, and actor-producer Rashaana Shah to launch the Orenda Media Growth Fund, an Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) focused on the media and entertainment industry.The fund is structured with a four-year tenure and aims to provide institutional governance and transparency to project-based entertainment financing. It plans to allocate its capital across a diversified portfolio, including motion pictures, media and entertainment startups, original intellectual property, and media-tech and AI-led ventures.Its indicative allocation places 50% of the portfolio in motion pictures, 30% in media and entertainment start-ups, and 20% in the creation of original intellectual property, including live event IPs. The fund targets a projected internal rate of return (IRR) of 30%.Orenda Group is currently managing a multi-sector USD 120 million fund. The firm expects to get a licence from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for the new fund within a month.
