Overseas education enabler Leap Finance attracts $65-M led by Apis Partners

San Francisco (USA)- and Bengaluru-based overseas education startup Leap Finance has raised Series E funding of USD 65 million (INR 562.7 crore) in a combination of primary and secondary deal led by Apis Partners - via Apis Growth Markets Fund III and Apis Global Growth Fund III - with participation from existing investors Owl Ventures, Jungle Ventures and Peak XV Partners. Several angel investors partially exited the firm in this round.The primary funds will be used to enhance the firm’s product offerings, expand globally and drive acquisitions.Founded in 2019 by Vaibhav Singh and Arnav Kumar, Leap, which owns LeapScholar, LeapFinance, GeeBee, and Yocket, provides services for students pursuing international education and careers. Its offerings include counselling, visa assistance, exam preparation, education loans, and other services.

Between March 2020 and June 2022, Leap Finance had raised about USD 152 M from Jungle Ventures, Owl Ventures, Paramark Ventures, Steadview Capital, and Peak XV Partners.For FY24, Leap Finance had reported about INR 200.85 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 21.64 Cr in Net Loss.
