Paragon Partners to launch third PE fund with Rs.1,500-Cr corpus
Mumbai-based Paragon Partners is set to launch its third mid-market private equity fund, aiming for a corpus of INR 1,500 crore, with a greenshoe option of another INR 500 crore.Paragon’s third fund intends to make 10-12 investments: 50-60% in financial services and healthcare, 20% in manufacturing, and the remainder in consumer and other sectors. Typical cheque sizes, previously INR 60-120 crore, may increase to INR 100-200 crore for the new fund, with 10% earmarked for follow-on investments.Paragon Partners has made eight investments in each of its previous funds, which include an INR 760 crore first fund closed in 2017 and an INR 650 crore second fund closed in 2022. The firm plans to complete two more deals from its second fund in the next six months.
