Partners Group to acquire majority stake in Infinity Fincorp for Rs.1,950-Cr; TrueNorth exits

PE firm Partners Group is to acquire a majority stake in Mumbai-based non-banking financial company (NBFC) Infinity Fincorp Solutions for INR 1,950 crore. The transaction includes a primary capital infusion of INR 600 crore and a secondary share purchase from existing shareholders, including Indium IV (Mauritius) Holdings (a unit of PE firm TrueNorth which has exited its position in this transaction) and other shareholders. Existing investor Jungle Ventures also participated in the round. Avendus Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Infinity and Indium IV for the transaction.The primary funds will be used to accelerate branch expansion and invest in technology to improve customer onboarding and lending operations.Founded in 2016 by Shrikant Ravalkar, Infinity offers secured lending to MSMEs (micro, medium and small enterprises) across trading, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors across Tier II and III towns. The company currently operates over 120 branches and claims to serve around 50,000 customers.

Between Nov 2016 and Dec 2024, Infinity Fincorp Solutions had attracted about USD 64 M from TrueNorth, Archerman Capital, Jungle Ventures, Beams VC and others.For FY24, Infinity Fincorp Solutions had reported about INR 138 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 26 Cr in PAT.
