Patna-based hospital chain Mediversal raises Rs.40-Cr from Kotak Alternate

Kotak Alternate Asset Managers, through its Kotak Life Science Fund I, has invested INR 40 crore in Patna-based Mediversal Healthcare . Impact-focused Asha Ventures participated in the round.Founded in 2020 by Navneet Ranjan, Bhanu Pratap, and Jayant Gandhi, Mediversal Healthcare is a regional multi-speciality hospital chain providing affordable medical care in Eastern India. It currently operates a facility with over 200 beds and claims to have served more than 60,000 patients in the last year across urban and rural areas.The company plans to use the new funds for expansion across Bihar and other states, for opening new hospitals and strengthening its technological backbone.
