Peak XV, Activate in talks to invest $15-20 M in US-based voice tech startup Wispr Flow

Two India-based VC firms are in talks to invest in San Francisco-based voice tech startup Wispr Flow ’s new funding round which is likely to value the company at $2-B, nearly triple its previous valuation. While Peak XV Partners is in talks to invest approximately $15-M, Activate (the investment fund led by Haptik founder Aakrit Vaish) is expected to contribute $3-5-M through a special purpose vehicle.Founded in 2021 by Stanford graduates Tanay Kothari and Sahaj Garg, Wispr Flow provides a voice-based dictation tool that enables users to input text into applications and workflows. The startup plans to use the capital to support its global expansion and strengthen its voice infrastructure. India currently serves as its second-largest market by user base and is experiencing 60% month-on-month growth.
