Peak XV, Ribbit Capital, YC sell Rs.5,326-Cr worth shares in digital brokerage Groww
Bengaluru-based Billionbrains Garage Ventures, the parent company of publicly listed fintech company Groww , has seen a divestment of a 4.71% equity stake by Peak XV Partners, Ribbit Capital, and Y Combinator. The investors sold a combined total of 295,216,138 shares through open market transactions on the National Stock Exchange.The Billionbrains Garage Ventures operated stockbroking platform recently reported a profit after tax of INR 686 crore for the quarter ended March 2026. The company’s total income reached INR 1,536 crore for the same period.The divestment involved Y Combinator selling a 1.45% stake through its arm YC Holdings II, while Peak XV Partners and Ribbit Capital offloaded shares through their respective investment vehicles. The shares were traded in the price range of INR 180.01 to INR 181.34 per share.
Between July 2018 and June 2025, Groww had attracted about USD 595 million from Insignia Ventures Partners, Peak XV Partners, Propel Venture Partners, Ribbit Capital, Y Combinator Continuity Fund, Tiger Global, Alkeon Capital, Iconiq Capital, Lone Pine Capital, Steadfast Capital, GIC and others. The company went public in November 2025.For FY25, Groww had reported about INR 3,685 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 422 Cr in PAT.
