Peak XV-backed eSIM platform Airalo raises $220-M; turns unicorn
Peak XV Partners-backed, Singapore-headquartered Airalo , an eSIM platform, has raised USD 220 million in a financing round led by a new investor, CVC Capital Partners, valuing the company at more than USD 1 Billion. CVC is injecting USD 185 million through its Asia Fund VI. Existing investors Peak XV and Antler Elevate also invested in the round.
In Oct 2019 Airalo had raised seed funding as part of the second cohort of Surge, Sequoia Capital India's accelerator program. Antler had also joined the round.
