Peak XV Partners has participated in the USD 280 million Series B round of San Francisco, CA (USA)-based voice AI startup Wispr Flow . Led by Menlo Ventures, the round saw investments by existing investors, including Notable Capital, NEA, Neo Ventures, and 8VC, along with new investors Acrew, Forerunner, and Goodwater. The transaction valued the company at USD 2 Billion. The funding brings the total capital raised by Wispr Flow to USD 361 million.Founded in 2021 by Tanay Kothari, Wispr Flow develops AI-powered speech-to-text software that enables users to write and perform workplace tasks using voice. The company claims that its platform is currently used by more than 10,000 businesses.The company plans to use the new funds to expand its product and speech AI capabilities. The firm is expanding its operations beyond voice dictation into meeting notes and other workplace applications, with India serving as its second-largest market by user and subscriber count.
