Personal care products maker Cupid invests in Middle East healthcare platform

Publicly listed, Nashik-based Cupid Limited has made a follow-on investment of USD 5 million in the GII Healthcare Investment platform. This move increases the company’s exposure to the healthcare sector in the GCC region, following an initial investment in the platform.The platform is managed by GII, an investment firm with over USD 3.5 Billion in assets under management and operations across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Europe, the USA, and India. The platform holds a significant equity stake in Saudi Arabia-based healthcare provider Abeer Medical Company and the dental and dermatology care chain AlMeswak Dental Company.Established in 1993, Cupid is a manufacturer specializing in healthcare and hygiene products, including male and female contraceptives, water-based personal care gels and In-Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) kits.
