Pet foods brand Drools turns unicorn with Nestle investment

Chhattisgarh-based Drools Pet Food Private Limited , a home-grown pet food company has attracted a financial investment from Nestle S.A in return for a minority stake. The company has achieved unicorn status as part of the investment.Founded in 2010, Drools has scaled to become a key player in India’s pet food sector. Its products are distributed across over 40,000 retail outlets and exported to 22 countries. The company said it is positioning itself as a global pet food brand with Indian roots.
