Economic Times

Gurugram-based pet care startup Vetic has raised USD 3.7 million in a seed funding round led by US-based investor Lachy Groom. The round also saw participation from Utsav Somani (partner, AngelList India), Nitin Saluja (founder, Chaayos), Shiva Singh Sangwan (founder, 1947 Rise), Revant Bhate (CEO, Mosaic Wellness), and Manu Gupta (founder, Blue Lion VC). A clutch of senior executives from Oyo including Ritesh Agarwal (CEO), Abhinav Sinha (COO), Abhishek Gupta (CFO), Maninder Gulati (CSO), and Anuj Tejpal (CBO) also invested in the startup. Launched in August 2022 by Gaurav Ajmera (ex-COO Oyo and ex-CBO Pristyn Care), Vetic aims to provide medical care for pets, and also caters to pet care needs such as nutrition and wellness. The firm will use the capital to bolster its technology, establish medical infrastructure, and expand its network of clinics. Vetic has four clinics in Gurugram and plans to scale this to 15 across Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru by June 2023.
