Plastic waste recycler Without raises $1.9 M led by Rewilding Wealth
Pune-based material science startup Without has raised USD 1.9 million (INR 16.8 crore) in a seed funding round led by Rewilding Wealth. The round also saw participation from actor-environmentalist Dia Mirza, Spectrum Impact, former Unilever executive Veena More and Acko Insurance co-founder Vishwanath Rao.Founded in 2021 by Anish Malpani, Without focuses on recycling difficult-to-process waste such as multi-layered plastics and soiled textiles into high-quality materials and products. The company has also launched its recycling demonstration plant in Pune capable of processing up to five tonnes of unrecyclable plastic waste per month.The new funds will be used to support the company’s plan to commercialise its proprietary recycling technology and hire talent across engineering and materials sciences, besides helping to expand its global footprint.
