Poonawalla Family Office acquires 20% stake in auction house AstaGuru

Mumbai-based premium auction house AstaGuru has received investment from the family office of Adar Poonawalla (CEO of the Serum Institute of India), in return for a 20% stake.Founded in 2008 by Vickram Sethi and Tushar Sethi, Astaguru offers a platform to conduct online auctions for Indian art pieces and antiques including sculptures, classic miniatures paintings, fine writing instruments, timepieces, celebrity memorabilia and aristocratic jewellery.The new funds will be used to drive the company’s expansion in local and international markets across verticals and categories.
