Premji Invest leads US-based AI-enabled networking tech startup Upscale’s $190-M Series A-1 extensio
Santa Clara, CA (USA)- and Bangalore-based Upscale has raised $190-M in a Series A-1 financing round led by Premji Invest. The round included new investors NVIDIA, Salesforce Ventures, Seligman Ventures and Temasek, with participation from existing investors Maverick Silicon, Mayfield, Prosperity7 Ventures, StepStone Group, and Tiger Global. This latest investment brings the company’s total funding to $500 million, and its current valuation to $2 billion.Founded by Barun Kar and Rajiv Khemani, Upscale is an AI networking infrastructure company that offers a full-stack portfolio comprising silicon, systems, and software. The company plans to use the new capital to scale its business and accelerate the delivery of its AI-native networking technology.The company provides an open-standard AI fabric designed to connect accelerators, memory, and storage. It is currently engaged with hyperscalers and neocloud infrastructure providers to support large-scale, synchronized AI workloads including training and inference.
