Primary healthcare hubs network iKure raises $1.8 M
Kolkata-based iKure Techsoft, a for-profit social enterprise, has raised USD 1.8 M in a pre-Series A round from Philips Foundation, World Diabetes Foundation, and Bayer Foundation. The transaction was facilitated by We Share Forward and Prourgn.Founded in 2010 by Sujay Santra, the company operates a network of primary healthcare hubs, clinics, pharmacies, and diagnostic centers supported by a proprietary digital health platform called WHIMS. It claims to reach over 36 million people across 11 states.The company plans to use the new funds to expand its frontline health workforce, increase the number of healthcare hubs, and strengthen its technology platform with AI-enabled clinical decision support and remote patient monitoring.
Between Feb 2013 and Mar 2014, iKure Techsoft had attracted about USD 0.34 M from Intellecap Impact Investment Network and others.
