Proptech co. WeHouse nets Rs.25-Cr from Anthill Ventures, others

Hyderabad-based proptech startup WeHouse (formerly Hocomoco) has raised INR 25 crore (around USD 2.8 million) in its Series A round in a mix of debt and equity.The round saw participation from existing backer Anthill Ventures, Telugu film producer Suresh Babu Daggubati, Franchise India Holdings’ founder Gaurav Marya, and accelerator Leaders For India’s founder Mohnish Yerra.Founded in 2017 by Sripad Nandiraj and Rohan Vinayak Reddy, WeHouse is an aggregator platform that brings together players involved in construction projects, including architects, contractors, material suppliers, engineers and skilled labourers. The startup began as Hocomoco but later rebranded to WeHouse in 2022 with USD 1 million in funding from Anthill Ventures and others. Currently, WeHouse has a presence in Chennai, Hyderabad and Vijayawada and has so far undertaken more than 400 projects.The fresh capital will be used for expanding operations to Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat and Chandigarh by the end of this year. A part of the proceeds will also be deployed to upgrade the startup’s tech stack.
