QSR chain Charcoal Eats raises Rs.45-Cr from Paras Pharma founder, others
Mumbai-based quick service restaurant chain Charcoal Eats has raised INR 45 crore in a funding round led by the founder of Paras Pharma, Girish Patel. Anil Sanghvi, chairman at Sanghvi Erectors, Ajinkya Firodia, MD, Kinetic Group and Rajiv Jain, an ex-banker, also participated in the round.Founded in 2015, Charcoal Eats has around 40 outlets, mostly cloud kitchens and expects to achieve an annualised run rate of INR 150 crore in the current fiscal year.The new capital will be invested in brand-building efforts, distribution networks, better integration of technology and exploring newer markets outside the country.
