QSR chain Wow! Momo raises Rs.70-Cr from Z3Partners
Kolkata-headquartered quick service restaurant (QSR) chain Wow! Momo has raised INR 70 crore from Z3Partners. This primary investment marks a continuation of the (Series E) funding round, which saw Malaysian sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional and OAKS Asset Management investing INR 410 crore in January.Out of the INR 480 crore in this round, INR 270 crore is through primary infusion, while INR 210 crore is via secondary purchase from early-stage investors of the company.Founded in 2008, the company is known for three QSR brands including Wow! Momo, Wow! China and Wow! Chicken. It operates over 600 outlets across 38 cities. The company also has a presence in the FMCG segment with ready-to-eat and frozen products.
