Quick-chess format app Ziffi raises $5-M led by Tanglin Venture Partners
Gurugram-based quick-chess format game Ziffi Chess has raised INR 44.2 crore (USD 5 million) in its Series A funding round led by Tanglin Venture Partners (contributing INR 34.4 crore) with participation from existing investors India Quotient (via IQ Alpha IV contributing INR 8.6 crore), DeVC India, Symphysis LSV LLP and Rohan Nayak.ZIffi had earlier raised around INR 7.3 crore in a seed round across 2 tranches from India Quotient, DeVC and other angel investors.Founded in 2023 by Akshat Bansal and Aditya Dubey, Ziffi Chess allows players to compete in quick matches and win cash rewards through a 2-minute, 6-move format. The startup recorded an operating revenue of INR 1.5 lakh and a loss of INR 86 lakh during FY24.
