Raana Semiconductors in talks to raise Rs.100-Cr
Hosur, Tamil Nadu-based Raana Semiconductors is in talks to raise INR 100 crore (USD 10.4 million) in a Series A funding round. The company expects to close the round by October. An Indian venture capital is expected to lead the round with an investment between INR 50 crore and INR 60 crore. Additional participation is expected from seven to eight other investors. Existing backers may also consider further investment.Founded in 2015 by Rajasekar Elavarasan, Raana designs and manufactures Czochralski (CZ) crystal-growth systems, used to produce single crystals for semiconductor, solar, defence, photonics, and atomic-energy applications.The firm plans to use the Series A proceeds primarily to scale its CZ crystal-growth equipment from 6 inches to 12 inches, refine the silicon-growth process, and develop a domestic supplier ecosystem.Currently, Raana generates most of its revenue from national laboratories and defence-related customers, having recorded revenue of INR 10.5-Cr for the financial year ended March 2026.The firm previously raised USD 3 million in a seed round led by Equirus Innovatex Fund and Artha Venture Fund.
