Rainmatter acquires majority stake in PensionBox for $2-M; Early investors exit
Zerodha-backed Rainmatter Investments has acquired a majority stake in Bengaluru-based PensionBox for USD 2 million. The secondary component of the transaction resulted in a complete exit for early investors, including 100X.VC, SAT Industries, Keynote Capital, LetsVenture, and a group of angel investors. Following the deal, the founders will collectively retain a 48% stake in PensionBox.Founded in 2021 by Kuldeep Parashar and Shivam Parashar, PensionBox operates as a PFRDA-regulated digital pension platform, enabling individuals and companies to manage National Pension System (NPS) accounts. The platform supports instant account opening, investment tracking, SIP contributions, and automated Corporate NPS.The acquired capital, along with previous investments, is planned to support the company's scaling initiatives for the next one to two years.
