RedBird Capital acquires 15% stake in IPL cricket team Rajasthan Royals

Emerging Media, the investment vehicle controlled by Manoj Badale, and RedBird Capital Partners have announced a strategic partnership, under which RedBird will acquire a 15% stake in the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket franchise Rajasthan Royals. RedBird will provide strategic capital and counsel to support the cricket team's growth, on-pitch success and commercial objectives. Post deal, RedBird will hold a 15% stake in the Royals, while Emerging Media will increase its ownership of the franchise from 51% to 65%.
