Regional language OTT app Stage raises $2.5 M led by Good Water, Blume

Indore-based regional language-focused over-the-top (OTT) platform Stage has raised USD 2.5 million in its Series B funding round led by Good Water and Blume Ventures through secondary sale by angel investors such as Harsh Shah (co-founder of Fynd), Aayush Phumbra (founder, Chegg). Physis Capital, Mumbai Angels, The Chennai Angels, Venture Catalysts, IPV and other investors. This is the continuation of the USD 10 million Series B round raised in December taking the total to USD 12.5 million.The fresh funds will be used to share more stories and connect with more people.Launched in November 2019 by Vinay Singhal, Shashank Vaishnav, and Parveen Singhal, Stage serves as a hyper-localized OTT platform, offering trending, entertaining, and informative material in various languages and dialects, including Haryanvi and Rajasthani.

Between Jan 2022 and Dec 2024, Stage had raised about USD 15 M from Blume Ventures and Better Capital along with participation from angel investors / syndicates including Inflection Point Ventures, TCA , Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Aprameya Radhakrishan, Akshat Rathee and Roman Saini.For FY24, Stage had reported about INR 17.89 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 22.09 Cr in Net loss.
