Regional-language video streaming platform Stage seeks $25-M
Noida-based regional-language streaming platform Stage is planning to raise USD 25 million in a Series C funding round to accelerate its expansion across India. The company is backed by Goodwater Capital and Blume Ventures.The platform intends to deploy half of the capital to launch services in eight new languages: Punjabi, Assamese, Odia, Nepali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The remaining funds will be divided between growing its content library and developing its AI-native production system, Stage Studio.Founded with a focus on local dialects and cultural preferences, the company has grown its revenue from USD 2.5 million in FY24 to USD 16 million in FY26. Stage plans to leverage AI to reduce production and dubbing costs.
Between Jan 2022 and Dec 2024, Stage App had attracted about USD 17-M from Blume Ventures, Goodwater Capital, Better Capital and others.
