Reliance Consumer Products acquires ‘Manna’ brand owner Southern Health Foods

Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has acquired Chennai-based Southern Health Foods Pvt Ltd, a health food maker best known for its flagship brand ‘Manna ’.Southern Health Foods is a key player across categories such as millets, oats, multigrain products, health mixes, breakfast cereals and dry fruits. Its Manna brand is particularly well-known for millet flour, baby foods and multigrain drink mixes, categories that have seen rising consumer demand amid a broader shift towards healthier diets.RCPL’s foods and staples portfolio already includes brands such as Udhaiyam, Independence and SiL.
In Jan 2018, Morgan Stanley had acquired 55% stake in Manna Foods for USD 24 Million. In May 2015, Fulcrum PE and others invested USD 5 Million.For FY25, Southern Health Foods had reported about INR 109 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 10 Cr in Net Loss.
