Reliance Retail acqui-hires fashion discovery platform Furrl
Reliance Retail (RRVL) has acquired Bengaluru-based fashion discovery platform Furrl in an all-cash transaction. The entire team at Furrl will join the acquirer, with founder and CEO Esha Tiwary leading new AI initiatives within the firm. The product team will focus on scaling Furrl’s technology across Reliance’s broader commerce operations.Founded in 2022 by Esha Tiwary, Furrl operates an AI-driven platform designed for the discovery of independent D2C (direct-to-consumer) apparel and lifestyle brands. The company’s core technology includes an AI styling engine that automatically converts catalogue imagery into personalised, shoppable looks for online buyers. RRVL plans to integrate the startup's AI engine and e-commerce app into its own digital commerce offerings.Furrl had earlier raised over INR 8 crore from PeerCapital, Sadev Ventures, and Bharat Founders Fund.
For FY25, Furrl had reported about INR 57 lakhs in Operating Income and about INR 523 lakhs in Net Loss.
