Robotics startup Miko raises $29-M from IIFL, Chiratae, IvyCap, others
Mumbai-based Emotix, which offers the child companion robot Miko, has raised USD 29 million in a Series C round. Emotix has passed a special resolution to allot 15,948 preference shares and 270 equity shares to 30 investors at an issue price of INR 1,31,688.81 each to raise INR 213.6 crore, or nearly USD 29 million. IIFL has invested USD 6 million, followed by Chiratae, IvyCap Ventures and YourNest which put in USD 4 million, USD 3 million and USD 2.1 million, respectively. The round also saw significant participation of individuals such as Nidhi Arora who invested USD 2.6 million whereas Ria Chopra Juneja and Chanakya Juneja pumped in USD 2.1 million each. Oyo founder Ritesh Aggarwal has also invested a little over USD 1 million in the company.
