Rural commerce startup Wheelocity raises Rs.82-Cr
Chennai-based rural commerce firm Wheelocity has raised over INR 82 crore in an ongoing funding round from new investors, existing backers, and angel investors.Founded in 2021 by Selvam VMS, Senthil Kumar A, and Amresh Singh, the company operates a phygital commerce network delivering fresh produce and groceries to semi-urban and rural markets.The company plans to leverage its supply chain and logistics infrastructure to maintain its current operations across more than 3,300 villages.
Between May 2022 and Nov 2024, Wheelocity had attracted about USD 26.99 million from Alteria Capital, Anicut Capital, Lightspeed Ventures and others.
