Rural fintech startup Jai Kisan raises Rs.217-Cr from Mirae Asset, Syngenta, others
Mumbai-based Jai Kisan, a rural markets focused lending startup, has raised INR 217 crore (USD 30 million) through a combination of equity and debt in a round led by Mirae Asset. Syngenta Ventures, and existing investors Blume, Arkam Ventures, Nabventures, Prophetic Ventures and other global investors and HNIs, also participated in the funding round. Blacksoil, Stride Ventures and Trifecta Capital contributed to the debt portion. Veda Corporate Advisors was the financial adviser to Jai Kisan for the fund-raise. Jai Kisan will use the funds for talent acquisition, to enhance engineering and data science capabilities, expand into new geographies and build an on-book portfolio. It also plans to create new credit products.
