Sales & marketing focused chatbot Budy gets $4.2 M led by RTP Global
Palo Alto, CA (US)-headquartered AI chatbot company Budy , floated by robotics firm GreyOrange’s co-founder Samay Kohli, has attracted USD 4.2 million (around INR 35.3 crore) in a pre-seed funding round led by RTP Global. The round saw participation from other international investors active in India such as Beenext, as well as India-focused investors such as The Neon Fund, BITS SPARK Angels, along with a clutch of angel investors, including Raju Reddy, Abhinav Asthana (CEO of Postman), John Hayes (co-founder of Pure Storage), Bruno Kurtic (co-founder of Sumo Logic) and former executives of GreyOrange.Budy is an AI-driven agent designed to simplify the deployment and management of sales and marketing software stacks for enterprises. The company plans to use the fresh funds to boost training and development of its core AI capabilities.
