Sales platform Outplay acquired by JungleWorks

Bengaluru-based AI-based SaaS startup Outplay has been acquired by JungleWorks. Including a primary infusion following the acquisition, JungleWorks plans to invest USD 14 million in Outplay to accelerate the latter’s growth and build AI-driven sales automation tools.Founded in 2019 by brothers Laxman Papineni and Ram Papineni, Outplay’s AI-powered sales engagement platform automates repetitive tasks for business teams. It also lets sales professionals engage with prospective clients across channels like email, phone, SMS, among others. The company claims to have over 600 clients, including Plum, Yellow.ai, Observe.ai, among others.

In Jul 2021, Outplay had attracted about USD 7 M from Peak XV Partners.For FY24, Outplay had reported about INR 14 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 1 Cr in PAT.
