Samsung buys marketing solutions startup Zapr for Rs.50-Cr
Korea’s Samsung Electronics, via its Indian unit, has acquired Bengaluru-based Red Bricks Lane Marketing Solutions - which operates video advertising analytics service Zapr - for INR 50.4 crore. The deal will enable Samsung to air hyper-local advertisements on smartphones or smart televisions .
Between Sep-13 and Jan-16, Zapr had raised about USD 1 M from Flipkart, Micromax, GITP Investments, Pix Vine Capital, Others. In Mar-17, Television broadcaster Star India picked up a minority stake in Bengaluru-based media-tech startup Zapr Media Labs.
