Sarvam AI raises $74-M in Series B extension led by NVIDIA

Bengaluru-based Sarvam AI has raised USD 74 million in a Series B extension round led by NVIDIA, with participation from Glade Brook Capital, Gaja Capital, Indigo Ventures, and several angel investors and family offices including Sanjay Kalra, Jyotika Kapoor, Vrijesh Agarwal, KJ Trust and AL Trust. Following this investment, the firm’s post-money valuation is approximately USD 1.51 Billion. The transaction will see NVIDIA hold a 1.66% stake and Glade Brook Capital hold a 1.33% stake in the company, while the founders will retain a 38.44% stake.Founded in 2023 by Vivek Raghavan and Pratyush Kumar, Sarvam AI develops generative AI models and enterprise AI solutions tailored for Indian languages. It focuses on building sovereign AI infrastructure and large language models for businesses, developers, and government applications.The company plans to use the new funds to advance its development of foundational models, having recently released models such as Sarvam 105B, Sarvam 30B, and Sarvam Vision.

Between Aug 2023 and Jun 2026, Sarvam AI had attracted about $288 M from HCL Tech, Bessemer, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Ventures, Peak XV Partners, VH Capital, Others.For FY25, Sarvam AI had reported about INR 2 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 102 Cr in Net Loss.
