Satellite imaging co. Pixxel raises $100-M led by Temasek, Seraphim
Bengaluru-based satellite imaging company Pixxel has raised USD 100-M in a funding round co-led by Temasek and existing investor Seraphim Space Investment. The transaction also saw participation from 360 One Asset and IMM Investment, along with other existing investors Radical Ventures and GrowX Ventures.Founded in 2019 by Awais Ahmed and Kshitij Khandelwal, the company builds a commercial constellation of hyperspectral satellites. The company plans to use the new funds to scale its satellite manufacturing and constellation businesses, including the development of its Gigapixxel facility for high-rate production of advanced satellites.The company operates six satellites and serves customers across agriculture, oil and gas, and mining sectors. Pixxel is also developing a next-generation hyperspectral constellation named Honeybee and is leading a consortium to build a public-private Earth observation constellation in India.

Between May 2019 and Apr 2025, Pixxel had attracted about $ 108 M from Athera Venture Partners, Blume Ventures, Google, Growx Ventures, Lightspeed Ventures, Radical Ventures, Accenture Ventures, Glade Brook Capital, Others.For FY25, Pixxel had reported about INR 36 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 31 Cr in Net Loss.
