Sebi introduces fast-track route for AIF launches

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has introduced a fast-track mechanism for Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), allowing non-LVF (Large Value Funds) schemes to launch within 30 days of application. Under this revised framework, AIFs can circulate placement memorandums to investors 30 days after filing with the regulator.The regulator intends to enhance efficiency in capital deployment and support AIFs in executing investment strategies more quickly.
