Semiconductor design co. MosChip to acquire 73% in Vayavya Labs for Rs.245-Cr
Hyderabad-based semiconductor and design services company MosChip Technologies Ltd will acquire a 73% stake in Belgavi (Karnataka)-based Vayavya Labs Pvt Ltd for INR 245.49 crore.The remaining 27% will be acquired after March 31, 2028, and the valuation will be linked to Vayavya’s business performance.The 20-year-old Vayavya Labs is a specialised engineering services company focused on Hardware-Software Interface (HSI) management, embedded software development and validation across industries such as semiconductors, consumer electronics (CE), automotive, electronic design automation (EDA), communications and connectivity.
In Jul 2011, Vayavya Labs had attracted funding from Indian Angel Network and Sunil Kalra. In Mar 2020, 78.47 stake was acquired by KPIT Technologies for USD 5.7 million.
