Semiconductor maker Aheesa Digital raises Rs.20-Cr from TNESSF

Chennai-based fabless semiconductor startup Aheesa Digital Innovations has raised INR 20 crore from the Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Fund Management Corporation (TNIFMC)-promoted Tamil Nadu Emerging Sector Seed Fund (TNESSF).Founded in 2021 by Sridharan Mani, Sukha R Ghosh, and Anil Raj Thulasi Das, Aheesa Digital Innovations focuses on semiconductor design. The company's flagship product, VIHAAN-I,is designed for broadband and optical access networks; it aims to contribute to semiconductor self-reliance for 5G edge AI/IoT deployments, thereby enabling domestic OEMs to reduce import costs. The fresh funds will be used by the company to support its commercialisation phases. The firm’s production is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2027.
