Semiconductor startup Morphing Machines raises Rs.42-Cr from Hero, Colossa, Navam Capital

Bengaluru-based semiconductor startup Morphing Machines has raised INR 42 crore (about USD 4.4 million) in a Series A funding round from Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures, Colossa Ventures, and Navam Capital, bringing the total fundraise to INR 80 crore.Founded in 2005 by SK Nandy and Ranjani Narayan, with Deepak Shapeti joining as CEO in 2021, Morphing Machines is developing REDEFINE, a runtime reconfigurable core processor for use in data centers, AI infrastructure, and high-performance computing. The company uses a ‘many-core’ architecture that reconfigures hardware in real time based on workload, supported by a proprietary compiler.The new funds will be used to accelerate the development and testing of the firm’s first production chip, convert customer engagements into pilot deployments, enhance its software toolchain, expand the engineering team, and deepen global presence, particularly in the US and Europe. A full-scale commercial launch is planned next year.

Between Jun 2024 and Sep 2025, Morphing Machines had attracted about USD 12 M from DeVC India, Golden Sparrow Ventures, IAN Fund, IvyCap Ventures, Navam Capital, Speciale Invest, others.For FY25, Morphing Machines had reported about INR 9 lakhs in Operating Income and about INR -1,477 Lakhs in PAT.
