Short story platform Sutradhar raises $500-K from Venture Catalysts, LetsVenture, others
New Delhi-based short story media platform Sutradhar has raised USD 500,000 in a seed round led by Venture Catalysts and LetsVenture. Existing investor Titan Capital, along with angels such as Sahil Barua, Shashvat Nakrani and Kush Agarwal, also participated in the round. The fundraise will enable the platform in operational growth and create content to distribute to Indians across the globe. Sutradhar is an illustrated short stories platform based on Indian history, particularly for smartphone users. The company has created more than 1,000 videos in four languages - Hindi, English, Marathi and Odia - which are currently available through its mobile app, which has over 250,000 downloads and 100,000 registered users.
