Skincare brand Chosen Store raises $5-M led by Fireside Ventures
Chennai-based Chosen Store has raised USD 5 Million in a Series A funding round led by Fireside Ventures, with participation from BOLD (L’Oreal’s corporate venture capital fund), and Alkemi Growth Capital. Angel investors included CaratLane co-founder and former CEO Avnish Anand, and dermatologists Dr. Chandan Asokan, KC Nischal, Punit Saraogi, Nishita Ranka and Mikki Singh. This follows a USD 1.2 Million angel funding round in 2024.Founded in 2020 by Renita Rajan, Chosen develops science-led skincare designed for melanin-rich Indian skin, focusing on pigmentation, skin texture, contour, and hair aging. Its product range includes topical formulations and nutraceuticals, following a dermatologist-developed, clinic-to-consumer model.The company plans to deploy the new funds to strengthen research and development capabilities, expand its pipeline of clinically validated, evidence-based products, scale its Centre of Excellence, and invest in talent across various functions.
