Skyroot Aerospace raises $60-M led by Sherpalo Ventures, GIC

Hyderabad-based space-tech startup Skyroot Aerospace has raised USD 60 million in a funding round co-led by Sherpalo Ventures and GIC. The round also saw participation from existing investors Greenko Group and Arkam Ventures, alongside funds managed by BlackRock, Playbook Partners, and Shanghvi Family Office. Following the transaction, Ram Shriram of Sherpalo Ventures has joined the company board.Founded in 2018 by Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka, Skyroot Aerospace develops orbital launch vehicles for small satellite operators.The company intends to use the capital to support the commercial launch operations of its Vikram-1 rocket. This investment brings the valuation of the company to USD 1.1 billion.
Between Jun 2021 and Mar 2026, Skyroot Aerospace had attracted about USD 110 M from Graph Ventures, WorldQuant Ventures, Sherpalo Ventures, GIC, LN Mittal India Internet Ventures, Temasek, Arkam Ventures and others.For FY25, Skyroot Aerospace had reported INR 100 Cr in Net Loss.
