Smart charger maker for EVs Leanwatts raises $2-M led by Trivest Partners
Hyderabad-based Leanwatts has raised USD 2-M in a seed funding round led by Trivest Partners with participation from angel investors Abraham George and Alok Rungta.Founded in 2023 by Abhilash Reddy, Pradeep Chowdary, and Sujith Kumar, Leanwatts designs and manufactures power electronics products for EV OEMs (electric vehicle original equipment manufacturers). The company's product portfolio includes portable and onboard chargers ranging from 500W to 6.6kW, which cater to electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and tractors.The company plans to use the new funds to accelerate research and development, strengthen its supply chain, and expand its manufacturing capabilities. Leanwatts also intends to expand into new segments, including public charging solutions, rectifiers, power modules, and hybrid inverters.
