Smart Ship Hub raises $2-M from Japanese valves maker Nakakita
Smart Ship Hub , a Pune and Delaware-based startup focused on solutions to the maritime industry, has closed a strategic investment of USD 2 million from Nakakita Seisakusho, a Japan-based manufacturer of valves and other fluid control devices.The investment from Nakakita will enable Smart Ship Hub, which offers a maritime digital transformation platform, to further strengthen its presence in the Japanese market and collaborate with leading ship owners and operators in the region.Smart Ship Hub's solutions for the Japanese maritime ecosystem will include vessel performance, voyage performance, weather routing, machinery condition and health monitoring, predictive diagnostics, decarbonization measures and technical performance advisory.
In Jul-22, Smart Ship Hub had raised $2.5 million in a seed round led by Ideaspring Capital and StartupXseed Ventures.
