SME-focused trade finance player CapitalXB raises $15-M
Mumbai-based trade finance-focused non-bank CapitalXB Finance Pvt Ltd has raised USD 15 million in seed funding led by London-based investor Nicolas Walewski, best known for managing multi-billion-dollar portfolios at investment firm Alken Asset Management and an Indian family office. The round, a mix of equity and debt, marks Nicolas Walewski's first investment in India.CapitalXB provides growth capital and supply chain finance solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It focuses on business potential over traditional metrics, offering services like factoring, discounting, and other short-term loans to help SMEs expand operations and improve cash flow.Capital XB will use the funds to expand its lending book, enhance its technology stack, and expand its team and partnerships.
