Social media unicorn ShareChat raises $49-M from existing investors
Regional language focused social media unicorn ShareChat has raised USD 48.8 million from existing investors including Temasek and Lightspeed Ventures. The company will reportedly issue 4,895 Series I debentures at an issue price of USD 10,000 each to raise about USD 49 million. Apart from Temasek, Lightspeed, other existing investors including HarbourVest, Moore Strategic, Rimco and Alkeon have invested in the round.
Between Oct-15 and Jun-22, ShareChat had raised over USD 1.4 Billion from PE-VC investors including CapitalG, Tiger Global, India Quotient, Elevation Capital, Lightspeed Ventures, DST Global, VH Capital, Hillhouse Capital, Morningside Ventures, Xiaomi, Tencent, Shunwei Capital, Anicut Capital, Mirae Asset Global Investments, Others.For FY23, ShareChat had reported INR 718.75 Cr in Operating Income and INR 5,144.25 Cr in Net Loss.
